The McLaughlin Group – Republican debate

May 9, 2007

I just love The McLaughlin Group. Sometimes it seems far more like comedy than serious debate, which is why I keep watching. (The video podcast is incredibly low quality and always several days late for some reason.)

Ronald Reagan was mentioned 19 times. All ten of the candidates want to wrap themselves in everything and anything Regan. The group seems to think that Mitt Romney performed the best. They seem to agree that McCain has dropped off several notches.

McLaughlin asks whether democrats or republicans have the more interesting lineup. Of course, there is no agreement. I’m biased, but I think that there are some strong democratic candidates and that the moderate republicans just can’t win.

My favorite show.
