I Googled BizBuyer for old time’s sake. BizBuyer was a fun ride while it lasted (and it didn’t last long). I still believe that the fundamental business idea was sound – helping small businesses make better purchasing decisions. Additionally the company hired a dedicated group of very smart people. As this article points out, BizBuyer’s meteoric rise and fall was more a function of too much money and hype than anything else. It’s fun to see the old screen shot and mention of “Katale” (BizBuyer’s B2B version of its B2B site – if that makes any sense).
